The darkest smile crosses his face at my words, and he takes a step back. He turns and walks across the room, dropping into his leather chair once more and looking me over.
โBegging is a good start.โ Crew plants his tattooed hands on the arms of the chair and grips it tightly. โBut itโs better done on your knees.โ
My eyes narrow, fighting every instinct inside that urges me to flip him off for talking to me like that.

My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
