Review Policy

A Book Lovin’ Mama’s Blog is currently NOT Accepting Review Requests. I will update this page once I accept review requests again.

Here are a few things to go over before sending your review requests.

This is a quick reminder that one person solely runs this blog now. It may change in the future to having additional reviewers, but there’s only one reviewer right now, and during the school years, she’s volunteering or taking her youngest to soccer practices and travel games. Requests sent two months/one month before the book’s release are much more likely to be accepted. Please note that not every request will be replied to, especially if it’s not a normal genre/subgenre that is read/reviewed on the blog.

The reviewer mainly reads romance books and tends to read every subgenre under the romance genre. If you have not heard back from the reviewer within a month of submitting your request, most likely, it’s not a book that the reviewer normally reads or reviews. For example, nonfiction books are not books I read/review.

Reviews posted to A Book Lovin’ Mama’s Blog are the reviewer’s opinion. There are books that she will love and some that she will not like, but please note she will never bash an author or her book. If the book is under three stars, the reviewer will inform the author, publisher, and book tour company and wait a week after the release date to post the review. 

This book blog is a hobby, and the reviewer does it to share her love of the books she enjoys reading/reviewing for authors. She has been reviewing since 2011, when she left the Navy and will continue doing it as long as possible.
