The Hearts We Fumble is the final installment in Brooke O’Brien’s Braysen U series. Once again, I got a book with a great mix of sweet and spicy, packed with some of my favorite tropes. It also helps to listen to the book with narrators perfectly cast for the characters. Lee Samuels and Stefanie Kay brought Zane and Wyatt to life, and they did a fabulous job. I loved listening while following along with the ebook thanks to it being in KU.
I read About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis eight years ago but realized I never reviewed it, so I decided to read it again to review it. Thank goodness I did because after reading it a second time, I realized how much I enjoy Jill Shalvis’s stories, especially the Heartbreaker Bay series that introduced me to her books. Each book introduces characters that feel like family and a great blend of humor and mystery, just like About That Kiss.
Re-read May 2026 before watching the TV adaptation. I still love Garrett and Hannah’s story. My original review remains the same below. I will forever love Garrett and Hannah’s fake dating storyline, which will always be one of my favorite tropes, even if it’s predictable.
