If you like dark fantasy romance and want to read a darker version of Snow White, you might enjoy this one. It mixes mafia and fantasy themes with a darker Snow White retelling, which makes for an engaging storyline.
Overall, this trilogy is fantastic, and I give it five stars. I’m really glad I finally took the time to read these books. If you haven’t read the trilogy yet and you enjoyed The Hunger Games movies or like dystopian stories, you should definitely give these books a try. It’s a fast-paced read with lots of action-packed scenes and lots of violence; just make sure to have tissues on hand. You will definitely need those tissues.
If you want a spicy cowboy romance, Saddled and Spurred is a must-read. Honestly, you should check out the whole Blacktop Cowboys series. I’m only on the second book, but each one has plenty of heat and lovable characters you can’t help but root for.

Do you enjoy reading Holiday/Christmas books year-round, even when it is not Christmas? If so, I recommend Lauren Blakely’s Mistletoe All The Way, a holiday read that gave me the dopamine fix I craved and put me in the holiday spirit early. It’s the third installment in her Evergreen Falls series, but it can be read as an interconnected standalone with no need to read the prior books. (But as someone who has read them, you should definitely check those out too.)
Darling Daffodils Farm is the first book I’ve read by Brittanée Nicole, and if her other books are similar, I’m already excited to read more. This story made me smile, laugh, and even cry. I felt so many emotions that I couldn’t put the book down until I finished. Even now, as I write this review, I’m smiling just thinking about the characters and how much this story meant to me.
I think we’re all hoping for cooler weather right now, and maybe reading some wintry books will help. That’s where Sin Bin with the Scrooge by Brooke O’Brien comes in. If you want to get into the holiday mood and are hoping for chilly days again, this festive story is a great choice for your TBR. The book is about a former pro hockey player, Clay, who tries not to fall for the FMC, Tessa, especially since she once dated his brother. But when they end up traveling home for Christmas together, things take a turn. They get snowed in, and those hidden feelings finally come out, leading to a chemistry between them that’s impossible to ignore.
If you want a Cowboy Romance that really turns up the heat, you should add Corralled by Lorelei James to your TBR right away. The book first had a hot cowboy model on the cover, but now it’s been republished with an illustrated one. Everyone has their favorite type of cover. I’ll always love the model covers more than the illustrated ones, but I get why authors switch things up to match what readers want these days.
Yours Truly, Fall by S.L. Scott is a sweet, funny, and cozy romance about two people who get a second chance at love as adults. I really enjoy stories like this; there’s not a lot of drama, just a focus on the main characters finding love together, and this book fits that perfectly. S.L. Scott also has a real talent for making readers, like me, smile, laugh, and care about both main characters.
If you are looking for a SciFi/Cozy Mystery with a mature heroine who is down to earth, then check out Breathing Space by Kristen Painter.
