Reno's Chance- never before released as a standalone novella! Previously published in the anthology Honk If You Love Real Men.
Ever since she was a little girl, Raven McIntire has secretly pined and longed for her best friend's sexy older brother, Reno, a Navy SEAL who has just returned home from duty. What she doesn't realize is that his only true mission is to get into her heart and get her into his bed.

First Read: January 28, 2014
Second Read: January 1, 2026

I’ve been meaning to finish reading the Tempting SEALs by Lora Leigh for a while now, and finally going to make time in 2026. I decided it was time for a reread anyway, since this is a military romance series that is definitely steamy AF and full of some alpha, dominant heroes that are hard to forget. I first read Reno’s Chance back in 2014, and after rereading it, I still enjoyed this book just as much as the first time.

The heat level in Reno’s Chance was scorching, and I loved both Reno and Raven. Even in this short novella, Lora Leigh managed to make it one hot little number of a story.

Reno was the sexy, determined Navy Seal trying to get Raven to be more than friends. They’d known each other for years, but Raven was afraid of losing him since he’s a Navy Seal, and her worry felt understandable, especially since she lost her father to the military and her parents’ marriage was strained because of it. Reno, though, wants to reassure her that it will be worth it, and he will do anything to be with her and show how much he loves her.

I loved how Reno would always chase after Raven, who never made it easy for him. He knew if he continued, she would eventually give in.

I give this novella 5 stars and look forward to diving into the next book in the series (reread for me). This was a great start to what is to come in the following books. It sure piqued my interest. =) I LOVE me some military romance books with a very sexy Navy SEAL, like Reno.

POV: Third Person (Dual POV)

Would I recommend this novella? Yes. If you’re searching for a quick, steamy romance featuring a Navy SEAL and lots of passion, I highly recommend picking up Reno’s Chance. It doesn’t take long to read.

What to Expect:
✔️Romantic Suspense
✔️Military Romance
✔️Navy SEAL Hero
✔️Alpha Hero
✔️Brother’s Best Friend
✔️Friends to Lovers
✔️Childhood Crush

I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
