Despite the emotional toll this book put me through, it deserves five stars (ten stars really). When I was reading, it made it impossible to keep neutral expressions; my husband noticed my reactions, a sure sign of a fantastic read. I’m excited to read the rest of this series and the spin-off books.
My fourth time I’ve read this book, and it’s still a favorite. 😍
Archangel’s Consort by Nalini Singh is the third book in Nalini Singh’s Guild Hunter series, and it’s just as addicting as the first two. If you haven’t started reading this series, I highly recommend you read them in order. If you don’t, you will miss out on reading Elena and Raphael’s relationship grow. I friggin’ love Elena and Raphael’s relationship, even though Raphael can be a tad overbearing at times with his protection.
You Can Kill is the fourth installment in Rebecca Zanetti’s Laurel Snow series. When I’m not reading romance, I love Mysteries and Thrillers, and the Laurel Snow series became an instant favorite after I borrowed the first book via Libby. If you haven’t read the first three books, I highly recommend you do, since the storylines continue in each one. I’ll try not to spoil anything in my review, but I can’t make any promises, so consider this your warning before you read on.
At Grave’s End is the third installment in Jeaniene Frost’s Night Huntress series, and once again, this book consumed my life, but it also put me through the wringer. I may have to send Jeaniene Frost my therapy bill after reading this book because it put certain characters in a spiral, and me too.
Chaos is the fifth book in Eva Simmons’s Twisted Kings MC series. This time, the story focuses on Dean ‘Chaos’ Graham, an ex-felon and notorious ladies’ man. I’ve been looking forward to learning more about the guy who always seems to take the fall for the Twisted Kings. I was curious to see which heroine would win Chaos over, and it turns out to be someone from his past, someone who picked his brother instead of him years ago. So, I knew this book was going to be good.
Whew! Wicked Ties was one hot book, and it is exactly the type of book I needed during this crazy winter weather. This book has been on my TBR for a while, and I’m glad I finally picked it up. This is the first book in Shayla Black’s Wicked Lovers series, and after reading it, I’m definitely picking up the rest of the series. If there is one thing I love, it’s reading BDSM books like this one, and Shayla gave me a dominant that will be hard to forget, even if I had a love/hate relationship with him the whole time.
I’ve always been curious about the Bodice Rippers from the 70s and 80s, and figured it was time to give them a try. I’ve never read one before, not even in my teens. Back then, I was obsessed with horror and fantasy books that were highly inappropriate for me, but my parents weren’t really strict on what I read or even watched, especially since my parents knew how much reading meant to me. It wasn’t until my twenties that I read Romance, and I haven’t looked back.
