Repost Review: ‘The Hunger Games’ by Suzanne Collins

(ReRead 2026) I thought it was time to reread The Hunger Games. I first read this book in 2012 and have been meaning to finish the trilogy and read the prequels for a while. I’m making time this year, especially since another movie is coming out. I prefer reading the books before watching the movies because adaptations often leave out or change a lot from the books.

After reading this book a second time and refreshing myself with the story, I can’t wait to read the second book very soon. My original rating of five stars and review of The Hunger Games still stand from 2012.

ARC Review: ‘Vow of Eternal Night’ by Lily Crozier

A Vow of Eternal Night is Lily Crozier’s debut novel delivering a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but this time the beast is a vampire. If vampires are coming back in popularity in Romance/Fantasy novels, I’m here for it. As a reader who never gave up her obsession with vampires and always picks up books featuring them, I couldn’t pass up Vow of Eternal Night by Lily Crozier. The book cover alone sold me before I even read the synopsis.

Review: ‘About That Kiss’ by Jill Shalvis

I read About That Kiss by Jill Shalvis eight years ago but realized I never reviewed it, so I decided to read it again to review it. Thank goodness I did because after reading it a second time, I realized how much I enjoy Jill Shalvis’s stories, especially the Heartbreaker Bay series that introduced me to her books. Each book introduces characters that feel like family and a great blend of humor and mystery, just like About That Kiss.

Review: ‘The Simple Wild’ by K.A. Tucker

Have you ever read a book that constantly changes your emotions while you read it? Well, that’s exactly what The Simple Wild did to me. I can’t believe it took me this long to read it, and thanks to the Romanceopoly Challenge, I made time for it and found a new author whose books I now need to read, especially if they are anything like this one. I knew from the synopsis and the prologue that this book was going to take a toll on me. I wasn’t expecting it to rip my heart out, though.

Review: ‘Her Perfect Mate’ by Paige Tyler

I can’t believe it took me this long to pick up the first book in Paige Tyler’s X-Ops series, Her Perfect Mate. After I finished reading it, I definitely need to read the rest of the books in this series, especially if each book is just as action-packed, full of mystery and drama, and includes kickbutt characters, such as the ones in this book. I should have known this book would be, though, since I’ve read other books from Paige Tyler.
