Two star hockey players and their best friend’s little sister in a runaway bride rom com!
Picture this. I’m about to walk down the aisle when the groom decides to drop this news on me – he wants to dial it down to just f-buddies.That’s when my brother’s two pro-hockey playing buddies help me escape seconds before the wedding march begins. But what’s a runaway bride to do with a broken heart and a non-refundable honeymoon? Book an extra ticket and take two off-limits, totally charming, absolutely gorgeous star athletes who want to lift my spirits. When we arrive there’s only bed in the hotel room. And it happens to fit three. The goalie, the forward and me.
Looks like I’m about to get thoroughly pucked on my double honeymoon. Talk about lifting my spirits…
Thoroughly Pucked is a standalone hockey, brother’s best friends, runaway bride MFM romance with a guaranteed why-choose style HEA! No swords cross. This story is perfect for fans of spicy hockey romance!
Thoroughly Pucked is the third installment in Lauren Blakely’s My Hockey Romance series. This is an interconnected standalone series, which means they don’t need to be read in any particular order. Each book in the series is an MFM Romance where the MMCs are hockey players who fall hard and focus solely on the FMC, which means no swords are crossed.
Storyline: The FMC, Aubrey, is due to marry until she starts having second thoughts, but luckily, the groom decides to call it quits before she can, leaving her to tell the guests that the wedding is off. Her brother finds out what happened and decides to send in his two best friends, Dev and Ledger, to take care of his sister while he deals with the wedding guests. Dev and Ledger are both up for the task and will do anything to make Aubrey happy after her douche of an ex leaves her. Before they know it, all three are heading on Aubrey’s honeymoon since it’s nonrefundable to have an unforgettable trip together, which leads to sparks flying between the three.
My Thoughts: This was an adventurous and spicy book, and I had a hard time putting it down. It felt fast-paced due to the shorter chapters, and it was both plot and character-driven. I liked all the characters and liked learning about their personalities and flaws.
I’m glad Aubrey didn’t marry her douche of an ex because he didn’t deserve her anyway. She deserved Dev and Ledger who would show her true happiness, love, and adventure, and not just in the bedroom. Dev and Ledger definitely won over this reader’s heart, and I loved how caring they were towards Aubrey. One of my favorite scenes is the hiking scene, and that is when the fun really happens between the three characters. There’s also the bourbon scene, too. Very spicy!!
The ending was perfect for the three characters, and I love how accepting everyone was in Aubrey’s family, with her being with two guys. I loved that Lauren had the previous throuples in the series in this book, too, because I loved reading how happy they are together with their loved ones.
This was another fun, spicy hockey MFM Romance from Lauren Blakely. I give it four stars and recommend it to readers who are in their Hockey Romance Era.
