Life Updates
I was able to read more this week, thanks to some novellas and audiobooks. Now when it came to reviewing the books I read, that definitely was a struggle, but I managed. I devoted an hour every night to work on reviews. This week, I only have three reviews I plan to post to the blog, but that could change depending on how many books I read.
I’m counting down to attending a book convention in less than two weeks with my oldest daughter. It’s a much-needed vacation for us, and I can’t wait to spend time with her since she’s been away at college. This will be her first full-weekend book convention. She’s only attended signings with me in the past. She’ll get to listen to her mom moderate a few of the panels with the authors, and hopefully, my social anxiety won’t get the best of me. She’ll be there to help support me. =)
How was everyone else’s week? What did you end up reading?
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)

My daughter has been counting down to it too. She’s looking forward to growing her own collection of books.
