It was a pretty quiet week. My youngest ended up only having a three-day school week due to the school district deciding to close schools on Wednesday (she already was off on Monday due to MLK Day) because we had a hard freeze warning and possible icy conditions on the road after getting rain on Tuesday. We live in the Panhandle of Florida, and we don’t have the equipment to treat the roads when we do have icy conditions. It’s not the first time we’ve had ice and even snow before here in the Panhandle. We had icy conditions in 2014 and snow in 2017. The snow only stuck around for a few hours, but it was enough for my daughters to be happy.

While I was freezing this week, my oldest daughter was enjoying the weather in the 70s and 80s. I told her the next time the weather gets below the 40s here, I’m heading her way to visit.

I ended up having two migraines this week, which I knew would happen due to the weather changing. I do take medication for my migraines, but sometimes, the medication doesn’t work, and I’m down for 24-48 hours due to the migraine. Maybe, in the future they will find a cure for migraines completely.

I did manage to read some books this week when I wasn’t having a migraine attack. Most of them were rereads of some favorite books. I love rereading books, especially when I feel myself going into a reading slump.

How was everyone else’s week? How cold did it get where you are?
