Quote Passages

“The sight of Theo, all shirtless six foot something of him is enough to make my ovaries explode. If I survive this night without rubbing myself all over him, I will be very, very surprised.”

“Ten minutes on the job and my new boss is looking me up and down like I’m a pinup model and he’d like to nail me on the hood of his car.”

–Royally Bad by Lee Savino

“Nobody else can do what she can. Calm my mind. Satisfy my hunger. Give me that warm feeling inside after a lifetime of cold.”

“Holt Calson has become a monster in the years since we fell apart. Just like his father. Just like the man he never wanted to become. For a moment, I mourn the boy I used to love. Because he is gone. So very gone.”

–Holt: Her Ruthless Scion by Theodora Taylor

“No safe word for you this time, kitten. But I’ll be gentle.”

“I came to get what’s mine.”

–The Director by Renee Rose

“My bed.” His eyes glitter darker. “Or your bed—or a hotel bed if you prefer. Hell, it doesn’t even have to be a bed. I’d fuck you on the table or the floor, or up against a wall. Just tell me when and where, and I will make it happen.”

“I know—I fucking know—I’m giving away my hand, but it’s too late to try to be smooth and subtle.”

–Wall Street Titan by Anna Zaires

“I don’t know. I don’t do girlfriends.”

I grab another oyster. “So… I’m to teach you how to do a girlfriend?”

He frowns. “There is no doing you, contractually.”

“Smile,” the photographer says. With an effort, I lift the corners of my lips.

“A real smile,” he says.

Should I tell him that it’s hard to smile when you’re trying not to get hard?”

–Billionaire Grump by Misha Bell

“Emmy: So do you only talk dirty over the phone or can you do it in real life too?”

–Accidental Tryst by Tasha Boyd

“I’d been kissed before… but I’d never, ever been kissed like this. My tongue entered his mouth and he made a noise at the back of his throat, not quite a growl, kind of more like a huff. Our heads moved together for long minutes and I felt like I hadn’t breathed in a lifetime.

Everything was spinning around me and I—I was spinning, too, delirious with want. Like a woman drowning in the middle of a stormy sea, in desperate need of a life raft. That sea was Adam Drake and he was pulling me adrift, stranding me in some strange and forgotten land.

When finally he ended the kiss, he pulled away so slowly that I could hardly tell our lips had parted until cool air passed between us. It was then that I saw that he was as affected as I was—his cheeks flushed, his breath coming fast, his eyes dark and drunk with desire.”

–At Any Price by Brenna Aubrey

From: Kohl, Evan

To: Swanson, Madeline

Subject: re: Negotiations

Madeline,

It’s time to drop the pretense. You want this as much as I do. Any woman who kisses a man like you kissed me in that garden is begging to be fucked, plain and simple.

Owner/Reviewer at A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog
I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
