My youngest went back to school this past Monday, and I was surprised she didn’t give me a hard time about it. She was ready to get back on routine. I was ready to be back on routine too.

The school district made the call Monday afternoon to cancel school for Tuesday due to possible tornadoes during the night into the morning. I hardly slept that night due to the 60+ mph wind gusts hitting the house. My husband stayed up the whole night, keeping watch just in case something happened. He used to work in Emergency Management, so it’s engraved in him to keep an eye on the weather.

I managed to read three books during the week. Two of them were books I decided to reread: The Darkest Touch by Gena Showalter and Hour of Need by Melinda Leigh. I read my first book from Ana Huang, Twisted Love and liked it. I definitely plan on reading more from this author.

Next week, I’m going to continue reading Gena Showalter’s LOTU books, read an eARC of Wrath by Cala Riley, and catch up on the library books I’ve borrowed through Libby.

How was your week?

I’ve never been around or even seen a tornado. We do get 60mph gusts sometimes, but because of the mountains in my area, no tornadoes. I can only imagine how scary it would be to be around one. If I could make sure the tornado caused no loss of life or damage to anything, I’d love to see one just to say that I have. I’d rather people and their property be safe, though.

I hope you have a good week!

It definitely was a scary storm. Not as bad as Hurricane Sally back in 2020. We had two hurricanes that year, but only roof damage, since we live more inland. Our coastal friends unfortunately suffered a lot more damage and still are having to rebuild. Thanks for stopping by and have a good week, too.
