My first Sunday Post ever on the blog. Thanks to Caffeinated Book Reviewer for hosting this meme.

I still can’t believe it’s 2024 because it sure feels like 2023 was just starting. I took down my Christmas Decor on January 1st, and it was weird not having my oldest daughter here to help me. She went back to college on the 1st because she had classes start on the 3rd. It’s been hard to adjust to a three-person household now that she lives 9 hours away, but she’ll be home before I know it for Spring and Summer Breaks. I loved having her home for the holidays and cooking home-cooked meals for her.

It’s back to school tomorrow for my youngest daughter and she’s not looking forward to it. She’s enjoyed being home for the last two weeks and getting a much-needed ‘brain break’ from school. She also starts back her travel soccer routine, which means weekday practices and weekend games.

We went as a family to see the movie Migration this past Wednesday, and it’s an adorable movie that we all enjoyed, even my husband.

I’ve managed to read/review four books this past week and I’m hoping to keep the momentum for the upcoming week. Audiobooks have definitely helped when I need to multitask. I’ve almost finished my reread of the LOTU series by Gena Showalter, and then I’ll start back my read-through of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward. I’m so far behind with that series that I’m trying everything to catch up with it.

How was your first week of January?
