Nothing stands between a Master and the submissive he loves…
When not called up by the National Guard, Peter Winston is a successful businessman, part of the K&A management team. Like the other four members, he’s also a sexual Dominant, adept at bringing a woman to pleasurable surrender. The night before he heads out on his second Afghanistan tour, he meets Dana, a sexual submissive who gets into his head and heart the way no woman ever has. But Dana is also an Army sergeant. It will be over a year before they see one another again, and when they do, she’s suffered injuries that took her sight and will to live. With the creative use of a corset and the talents of the other K&A males, Peter sets the stage for another special night for them, knowing that only a submissive’s willingness to trust her Master will bring her back to love and life again.
Honor Bound may be my favorite in the Knights of the Boardroom series after reading it, but that could change once I read the rest of the books in the series. Once again, Joey W. Hill tugged on my heartstrings with another storyline that was emotionally and beautifully written. The characters and what they went through in this short novella will be one that definitely will be unforgettable. Let me also say the spice was off the charts again, and Peter may have taken the top spot from Lucas.
Joey is one author who writes with emotion, which makes me instantly connect with the characters in her stories. This was the case when it came to Peter and Dana. Peter and Dana initially met and had an instant connection at a BDSM club before they went their separate ways on military deployment, but they promised to stay in touch. They reunite a year later, but Dana isn’t the same person. It will take Peter and his business partners at K&A Management to assist in gaining her trust and also show her life is worth living, especially when Peter shows her how much he wants to be her Dom and lover.
This novella will show you the struggles that someone who suffered injuries while serving in the military and what they feel and experience while being home. It’s going to be hard, and I felt for Dana and wanted her to trust Peter, but I knew it would take time. Joey wrote those struggles Dana was experiencing, but she also wrote a character like Peter, who was there for Dana along the way.
This was another 5-star read for me, and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series from Joey W. Hill.
