Ghost lied to his club to protect me, putting a target on both our backs.
Trouble is… I didn’t know I needed saving. Or that I was still being haunted by my past.
Now my loyalty to the Twisted Kings is in question, and the only man who can protect me is a tall, tattooed biker with a taste for revenge and a vow of abstinence.
Ghost is haunted. He’s reclusive. He ignores me at every turn, and I’m certain I mean nothing to him.
Until I discover Ghost has been watching more than surveillance through the clubhouse cameras.
He sees everything. And I’m his favorite subject.
Author's Note: Ghost is a dark MC romance with a morally grey hero, heavy subject matter, mature content, and explicit scenes. Content/TWs (which contain spoilers) can be found on author's website. 18+ Standalone with HEA guaranteed

The Twisted Kings MC series is quickly becoming a favorite of mine, not only because it is a dark motorcycle club romance, which I thoroughly enjoy, but also due to the unforgettable characters that Eva writes. Ghost is the second installment in Eva Simmons’s Twisted Kings MC series, and once again, I found myself so completely engrossed in this book that I literally lost sleep because of it. I would lose sleep all over again if I could read Ghost for the first time again; that’s how much I loved this book.

Ghost is one of my favorite MMCs. He’s mysterious, a computer genius, and holds so many secrets. He’s also the very protective kind of MMC and will do anything to protect the FMC, Luna, which he ends up doing in this book. He is even lying to his club about Luna, and if the secret gets out, he’ll have to deal with it. Despite being a member of an MC club, Ghost has vowed abstinence from relationships, which is practically unheard of in the MC club world. However, he has strong feelings for Luna, though she will never know about them because of something from his past that deeply affected him. He isn’t willing to risk Luna’s safety for his feelings, which made me adore him even more. After reading his book, he has been added to my book boyfriend list, which is already getting long due to Eva Simmons. 😍

Luna is another FMC, that Eva Simmons has written that I loved. She’s a Video Gamer/Hacker who ends up getting herself involved in something that she has no clue requires protection because all she was doing was a job. I admired her determination she was to crack Ghost’s shell (vow of abstinence). She won’t make it easy for Ghost, and she’s very persistent. However, it was clear that Ghost and Luna were meant to be together.

Once you get to know their characters, it’s evident that they have a lot in common. Their chemistry with one another was through the roof hot once they did give in to those feelings.

Another thing I loved about this book (as well as the first book) is that it reminds me of the show Sons of Anarchy. It features organized crime and rival motorcycle clubs that are at odds with the Twisted Kings. The suspenseful scenes will have you eagerly turning the pages to discover what happens next. I’m not only concentrating on Ghost and Luna and their HEA but also on the challenges they face throughout the story.

Oh, and I loved how Eva gave us a peek into two characters that I’m wondering what they have been up to since I read their book. I won’t spoil it but just know if you read her series, Twisted Roses, you’ll definitely recognize the characters that appear in Ghost.

Overall, another addicting ride of a book from Eva Simmons, and I give it five stars. I’m looking forward to the next book in the series, so much more now after reading Ghost and I love how Eva gives us sneak peeks of what is come.

Single/Dual POV: Dual POV.

Standalone or Part of a Series: It’s an interconnected standalone in the Twisted Kings MC series.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, if you enjoy reading Motorcycle Club romances, check out this book. Also, be sure to read the first book in the series, Steel, which is another interconnected standalone.

I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
