The Darkest Prison is another novella in the Lords of the Underworld series by Gena Showalter. It’s an entertaining read, but it doesn’t go with the LOTU’s storyline if that is what you are expecting when you read it.
This particular novella fits between books three and four in the series, right after Danika and Reyes’s book, because they make a brief appearance. This novella is about Atlas, the Titan god of strength, and the Greek Goddess Nike. Atlas used to be held captive by Nike until the Titans took over, and now he holds Nike captive, and he’s all about revenge for what she did to him. The issue is he’s very possessive of Nike and doesn’t want other males around her. The two will have tension between the two that is like no other and I enjoyed reading these two’s story. It’s an Enemies to Lovers, plus fated to be together.
Cronus makes an appearance in this novella with Sienna, plus the Lords are mentioned, but nothing big goes with the LOTU plot. It’s a short, quick read with some spice to it, and Gena brings two characters together that hate each other.
Do I recommend the novella? Yes.
