A first love. A forever love. And an unexpected second chance.
They say the Fates weave our destinies, but mine must’ve been drunk when they picked up the thread. From the beginning, my heart was never mine alone, but tangled in a web spun by three unforgettable men. Jayson Jameson and Ryder Cutton—my childhood best friends and my first tastes of love. And then there was Fallon Montgomery, the man I once believed was the villain in my story.
These three men marked me in ways I can’t erase and painted my heart in colors I never could have imagined. Loving them wasn’t a choice. It was a beautiful, tragic destiny carved into my soul.
I just never knew the road to happily ever after would be paved with so much heartbreak.
Reflections of You,the powerful final chapter of the Fallen Brook series, brings everything full circle in a small-town, second-chance, later-in-life romance where buried truths come to light, love demands sacrifice, and the past refuses to stay hidden. Some reflections heal, some break, but all reveal the heart’s deepest truths. Please check for potential TWs in the front matter of the book.
“The ending was everything.” – Bang Bang Book Club
If you are new to Jennilynn Wyer’s books, like I was when diving into the Fallon Brook series, she’s known for cliffhangers and for making readers cry. I was one of those readers, but I also laughed and smiled while reading the Fallon Brook series.
Fair warning: if you haven’t read the first three Fallen Brook books, read them first because Reflections of You is the final installment. Reflections of You builds on earlier events, so make sure you’re emotionally prepared. If earlier books made you cry, expect even more tears here, and have tissues ready.
I thought Elizabeth had endured enough loss, physically and emotionally, but she found happiness with her true love before losing him to forces beyond her control. Her children remind her that their father would want her to be happy. Then, someone from her past returns, showing he’s always loved her and is willing to wait for her.
Not only is Elizabeth going to have a second chance at love with someone else she loved, but she’ll be reunited with another person she loved whom she shared her firsts with. As someone who was mad at this person in previous books, I was glad he came back into her life and redeemed himself, but I was not prepared for what was going to happen later on in the book.
Writing this review reminds me of how moving Reflections of You was. Ultimately, this novel is about finding love after loss and discovering your heart can heal and grow, even through heartbreak and loss. It also proves you can fall in love with more than one person in your lifetime.
Though Jennilynn Wyer put me through the wringer, I’m grateful she wrote these books. Elizabeth, Jayson, Ryder, and Fallon will always hold a place in my heart, and I’ll cherish these books for years. I can only imagine the emotions Jennilynn poured into writing this series, especially the last one, which brought many tears to my eyes.
All I know is that Jennilynn Wyer has become an auto-buy author for me after reading the Fallen Brook series, and I’m determined to read every book she’s ever written. I know the next books I need to read our Fallon’s siblings’ stories, plus Julien’s HEA, too. I need to read all their HEAs.
Single/Dual/Multi-POV: Multi-POV
HEA: Yes.
Would I recommend this book/series? Absolutely. If you love reading romance books that will put you through the wringer, tug at your heartstrings, and make you cry constantly, then check out the Fallen Brook series by Jennilynn Wyer.

My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
