Sometimes it takes a rogue to tame a renegade…

I have one mission in life…Protect my family at any cost. With danger constantly hovering around the Hawkes…My job has become a twenty-four-hour commitment. That doesn’t leave much time for a personal life. But when a handsome, mysterious stranger draws my ire at the Hawkeye Club…He also ignites something deep inside me.His arrogance and obsessiveness should be red flags.Yet, all I see is promise smoldering in his blue eyes. All I feel is his rough callouses grazing my skin and bringing me pleasure. All I need is him.Even when I shouldn’t.Even when it’s wrong.None of it matters.Until the depths of his secrets are revealed. And I realize I’ve just let a wolf into the Hawkes’ house.

Renegade Hawke
is the seventh book in The Hawke Family Second Generation Series from USA Today Bestselling Author Gwyn McNamee. Grab this angsty, steamy billionaire romance about a strong, independent woman with a mission to protect her family and a man with secrets who wants nothing but her—until all the lies unravel and he’s forced to face the consequences of his deceptions.

NOTE: I don’t recommend reading the Hawke Family Second Generation series out of order due to the storylines being connected, and if you haven’t read the first generation, then start with that series first.

Renegade Hawke is the seventh book in Gwyn McNamee’s The Hawke Family Second Generation series. This time, we get Bishop’s book, and here is one reader who was excited to finally read her book. She’s the one who helps protect the Hawke family members, and she’s going to end up meeting her match in Renegade Hawke

This book was an emotional read because Bishop’s POV made my heart go out to her. She felt pressured due to what had happened to the Hawke Family, and she knows she hasn’t really lived her life outside her work, which her father points out. She’s not someone you want to mess with either, and the MMC finds out the hard way when he ends up pinned down by her after he tries to help at her family’s club. I just loved her character so much because of her strength and fierceness; she’s determined, too, but she really needs to realize she’s not at fault for what is happening, and she needs to start living her life. She needs someone to show her she can be loved, and she will when the MMC comes into her life unexpectedly.

That is when Gage comes into the picture, and this man fell hard for Bishop. I loved him so much, and reading his passion for Bishop and how he was determined to win her over, even though he knew he should stay away from her. He knew she was a fighter, and I loved the nickname he gave her, ‘Hellcat,’ because it truly fit her, even though she didn’t like him calling her that. He truly would not leave her alone, and Bishop had every right to be wary of him. I would be, too, especially when she finds out who he truly is. But the way Gwyn McNamee described him, let’s just say Bishop will definitely have a hard time staying away from him.

When it came to Gage and Bishop being together, it was a rocky start due to trust issues. Once they do get together, Gage has some tricks up his sleeve to have Bishop let go, and he has something hidden that even has her in shock. He truly made Bishop’s head spin, and she didn’t know how to handle him afterward. Plus, there were some BDSM elements in this book that will have you grabbing a fan to cool off.

If you’ve been reading the series, you know the Hawkes have been dealing with a certain antagonist who has been targeting the Hawkes and even has one of them working for him, which could put this Hawke in trouble. They are determined to finally deal with him, but he’s not someone they can just handle by themselves, especially when another person is also targeting the Hawkes. I’m ready, like Bishop, to finally have this antagonist leave them all alone. Thankfully, they have someone on their side to finally deal with the bad guys.

Fair warning, there is a cliffhanger at the end of this book, and it’s going to involve the last Hawke, who is another I’ve been intrigued with, and I’m ready for her to get her HEA, too. Please, give the Hawkes some peace in the last book, Gwyn McNamee. No more heartaches. I can’t handle heartaches for this family anymore because they truly have become like family to me. Overall, an excellent read, I give it five stars. It kept me on edge, and the steamy moments between Bishop and Gage are intense. It definitely is one of my favorite books in the series, and I highly recommend it.

POV: Dual POV (Single POV)

Cliffhanger: Yes.

Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. If you love series with strong characters, suspense, action, and romance, the Hawke Family Second Generation is a must. (And of course I’m going to recommend the first generation, too.)
