four-stars

With Creed battling the darkness inside him and an injury the only person who can save him is his true mate — Addie. But their trust is fragile, while their enemies are strong. It’s a passionate, intense battle of good and evil, nowhere near over.

He is Creed Part Three is the final installment in Addie and Creed’s storyline. I recommend reading the previous books in the series before diving into this book and my review due to possible spoilers. The story is filled with thrilling action scenes that kept me on the edge of my seat, especially since there are numerous potential antagonists, including the female main character’s own father.

I sympathized with Addie, the female main character, because she was being pulled in every direction and didn’t know who to trust, including Creed, the one she was bonded with. She had every right to feel this way, as two different GTECH groups were after each other, and her father wanted control over both groups and the ability to create even more super soldiers. Throughout it all, Addie just wanted Creed to realize that she loved him and that she was okay with the bond forming between them. However, Creed kept pushing her away for her own protection, believing that he was just like Julian, one of the antagonists in the story.

This series features multiple points of view, so you’ll experience the perspectives of not only the female main character and the male main character but also several other key characters that play important roles in the story. The last book is slightly longer than the previous ones, but it consists of short chapters, which gives it a fast-paced feel and makes it quick to read. I really enjoyed the world that Lisa Renee Jones created, where the government is developing super soldiers that they can control. However, these super soldiers don’t want to be controlled, and some even aspire to take over. The true enemy is Addie’s father, who initiated the turmoil surrounding the GTECH soldiers. I can’t believe he hasn’t been caught yet; he’s still out there, even after the events of this book.

I’m glad that Creed and Addie finally found their happily ever after after so long of resisting it. Creed had to accept that Addie wasn’t going anywhere; she was there to help not only him but also the Renegades he was working with. After finishing this book, you’ll realize that the story isn’t complete. However, don’t worry—Lisa Renee Jones will continue the storyline with Jensen’s story next. I can’t wait to learn more about Jensen and who he will ultimately bond with. I also need to find out if Julian will ever be taken down or if the General will ever be caught.

I rate this book four stars and eagerly await the next book in this series by Lisa Renee Jones.

Single/Dual POV: Multi-POV.

Standalone or Part of Series: It’s part of the Windwalkers Series and needs to be read in order.

I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
