Rules are made to be broken.Mick’s the hot fireman who rescued me. One look at his muscled body and gorgeous smile, I'm on fire.He doesn’t do second dates. Neither do I.He’s perfect. I’ve always wanted a fireman. We've got three days together.I’m going to enjoy it.Robbi’s a bleach blond with a shape to die for. Her sexy, smart-assed mouth drives me crazy. She wants me, but I’m married to my job.I want a special woman like her in my life, unfortunately it’s not an option. She deserves better than me.It’s three days and we’re done. This might work out for both of us.What does it take to save you from yourself?
Muffin Man was a quick, steamy, funny read for me and something I enjoyed between reading other books, especially when the characters initially met. Poor Robbi just wanted her hair done, and she found herself a hottie firefighter, Mick, who had to save her from within a dog grooming tub. (You’ll have to read the novella to find out why.) Per the doctor’s orders, she’s stuck with the firefighter for three days so he can watch over her. (The doctor who happens to be the firefighter’s sister) The tension between the two will be unbearable, and they’ll have difficulty keeping their hands off one another.
I’m usually not a fan of the instant love trope in contemporary romance/romantic comedy books, but Naomi makes it work with Mick and Robbi. I wish it would have been a longer novel because I would have loved to know Robbi, Mick, and the other characters, especially Mick’s co-workers. I loved Robbi’s character because she wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, except for how she felt about Mick. Besides the characters driving me batty with the lack of communication, it was an entertaining novella. I plan on checking out other books that Naomi Springthorp has written.

Would I recommend this novella? Yes. I recommend this short novella to readers who love a funny, no-filter heroine and a hot firefighter who can bake delicious muffins.
