Race into a sexy New Adult romance, set in the fast-paced world of Formula One. These friends-to-lovers are about to fall . . . fast and reckless. He’s the one man she can’t have . . .
Mira Wentworth knows Will Hawley is trouble. Even if he revs her engine, flirting with the handsome new driver on her father’s Formula One team is not in the cards. Mira has sworn off on-track romance after a mistake as a teen cost her everything. Now she has a chance to win back her spot in F1 as a team assistant, and she's not going to let one cheeky, bad boy driver get in her way.
She’s the one woman he wants . . .
After his party boy antics nearly blew up his racing career, Will is finally back in the driver’s seat and determined to get onto the podium. He likes to think he’s reformed, but with one look at the boss’ daughter, he’s willing to risk it all.
As the heat builds between Mira and Will, their chemistry deepens into something more. But when the ugly events of the past come to call, their fragile new relationship is put to the test. Can Mira and Will’s love cross the finish line?
I always love finding new authors and their books, and Fast & Reckless is the first book I’ve read from Amanda Weaver, and it definitely won’t be my last. This book is a high-speed F1 Racing love story between Will Hawley, an F1 driver, and Mira Wentworth, his Boss’s Daughter and the team’s assistant. The issue is that Mira has sworn off F1 drivers after what happened in her past with another driver, but Will is not going to let her get away that fast. Will will do anything to win her over, even if he knows he should be focusing on racing, especially when he has to prove he’s not a party boy anymore. I was rooting for these two the whole time and even rooting for Will to win the World Championship.
Although I haven’t read many F1 Racing love stories, this book definitely has piqued my interest in reading these types of books. The way the author described the racing scenes truly transported me in the car with Will when he was racing. The characters, Will and Mira, were well-developed, and their journey from friendship to something more was entertaining and romantic.
This book does have a third-act breakup between the characters, and it’s all due to one of them thinking they were doing what was right for the other. I understood their decision, but I believe they should have talked to the other first. Don’t worry, though; Will and Mira will work it out. The best part of the book is how the person who hurt Mira in the past ends up getting what they deserved in the long run.
Overall, I give this book four stars, and I’m excited to read more books from Amanda Weaver, especially if she continues to write high-speed F1 racing HEA stories.

My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
