Devil of Dublin was one of my favorite books in 2022, and when I found out that BB Easton was writing a sequel to it, I knew I had to read it. Kellan and Darby’s story still resonates with me two years later. I needed more of this world and the characters that BB Easton had blessed us with, and once again, BB Easton put me through the wringer with The Devil Himself.
This is one book you’ll need to go in surprised, which is why I’m keeping my review short because I don’t want to risk spoiling it. Be prepared for a lot of twists and turns in this book and also trust BB Easton because she’s going to make you go through an emotional rollercoaster with Damien and Clover’s story. Just like with the first book, I fell hard for these two characters who deserved to find happiness, especially with everything they endured.
One of the many reasons why I’ve enjoyed Devil of Dublin and now The Devil Himself is how descriptive BB Easton gets with her storytelling. It’s like I’m there with the characters and experiencing everything with them.
I know the year has not ended yet, but I’m calling it already: The Devil Himself has earned the top spot as my favorite read of 2024. I wish I could give it more than five stars because it deserves more.
