Christmas surprise delivery—an outlaw on her doorstep!
When rodeo cowboy Clayton Everett stumbles into a cabin in the woods—injured and on the run—he doesn't expect to be rescued by an angel. But Tala Nelson might be exactly that. She's the softest thing he's ever seen, and she makes his heart, scarred by a lifetime of hardship, beat just a little faster.
Small-town schoolteacher Tala knows she should fear the man dressed all in black who looks like an outlaw from a Wild West movie, but she doesn't. As she cares for Clayton, she discovers he's a good man and no outlaw at all. In fact, he could be the hero of the story.
Tala's never had anyone to celebrate the holidays with, but as Christmas draws closer, she wonders if this could be a season of firsts with her cowboy—first kiss, first love, first forever…
This will be a short review since the novella is 55 pages long.
Her First Christmas Cowboy is a short, festive holiday romance built around instant attraction. As the start of the Four Corners Ranch series, it introduces the small town and main characters well. While I wanted more depth, the novella succeeds in offering a fun escape and makes me interested in the rest of the series.
If you enjoy instant attraction stories, a wounded cowboy, and a teacher heroine, this novella is an enjoyable choice for a lighthearted, steamy holiday read.
POV: Third Person (Dual)

My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
