Miles Cavanaugh is moving into “The Den”—a notorious four-flat apartment complex in Chicago with two of his new teammates from the Chicago Grizzlies.

The Den is known for the number of women who come and go, but as the three bachelors start their new season, they get their first inkling that things are starting to change.

Enjoy a sneak peek into Piper Rayne’s upcoming Chicago Grizzlies football romance series.

On The Defense is a quick novella introducing all the new MCs to Piper Rayne’s Chicago Grizzlies book series. You get a quick POV of the MMCs and FMCs that will get their upcoming books in the new series by the author duo. Yes, they are teasing us readers, but what better way to excite us about what will come?

I have been waiting for Miles and Bryce’s book since the moment the author, Piper Rayne, teased me with these two characters in the Kingsmen Football Stars series. I knew these two hated each other because Bryce always wrote horrible things about Miles as a Kingsmen Football player. It was her job to report when a player wasn’t showing their full potential, but Miles hated that she only wrote the bad things and never anything good about him. Miles has a chance to prove himself on his new team, but unfortunately, he can’t seem to get away from Bryce, who ends up moving to Chicago for her new job with SportsVerse. Their book is bound to be amazing, and I loved getting a sneak peek into what comes with these two in the prequel.

I loved being introduced to new characters on the Chicago Grizzlies team with Miles. Damon Siska, whom Miles knew from college, is definitely helping him adjust to being on a different team, and Cooper Rice, the quarterback of the Chicago Grizzlies team. Damon and Cooper get POVs in On The Defense with a brief introduction to what will come in their upcoming books in the series.

I’m looking forward to both of these football players’ books due to the FMCs they have secretly been in love with for years or just met by chance. But for now, while I wait for those two, I’m anxiously waiting to read Miles and Bryce’s book. Their book has been highly anticipated, and I can’t wait to learn why they hate each other and if they will eventually go from enemies to lovers.

Piper Rayne (author duo), thanks for teasing us readers about this new fabulous football series. It’s the perfect time since it’s football season once again. =) Gets me right in the mood to watch some football.

I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
