Trapped in a terrifying lair.If the two rivals can defeat Halloween's worst nightmares to escape a haunted castle, can they overcome their pasts to claim a future together?
The Witch Queen of Halloween is a fast-paced, spooky, adventurous, gothic Immortal After Dark novella that will definitely have you craving more of this series after you finish it. I only wish it was longer so I could explore even more of this horror-filled, haunted castle that the characters were forced to explore to break a curse.
I know every time I pick up a book from this series, I want more, and this is why this series has always been one of my favorites from Kresley Cole. It’s also the one series I will always reread and find myself reading because they are comfort reads to me, and I love them so much. Yes, even a spooky novella like this one I will find myself rereading, even if some of the creatures Kresley mentioned may end up giving me nightmares. It’s worth it, though, because Kresley always writes courageous, kickbutt heroines, like Poppy, who is a witch who can handle herself, but then she has to deal with an alpha, sexy demon like Rok, who is determined to protect her.
Poppy was a new character in the series and she definitely was one that I will never forget, especially with what was revealed in this book about her. Rok was a character I already knew from previous books, and I would love his character. Have you read Kresley Cole’s other demon MMC books? They are dirty-talking, sexy demons with horns. Rok is definitely one of those demons.
I loved all the Easter eggs that Kresley Cole had along the way, especially when it came to learning about some favorite characters, as well as hints of what is to come in future novels. This was another great addition to the series, and I can’t wait to see what Kresley Cole has in store next. I will continue to say it: Kresley Cole is the Queen of Paranormal Romance.
