Nothing is more important to Jesse King than his club and his daughter.
He’s a biker to the core.Gorgeous and lethal.Trouble at its finest.
And I’m his daughter’s new nanny…
It's my job to take care of the one person in his life who comes before his patch. If only Jesse wasn't making it so difficult. He’s resistant. Infuriating. He doesn’t trust anyone except for his brothers, and he fights me at every turn.
But when bickering turns into him claiming me in the back of his truck, we start a scorching game of emotional roulette neither of us is ready for.
I thought nothing was more terrifying than the past I'm running from. Until I handed my heart to a biker and asked him not to break it.
Legacy is the third book in Eva Simmons’s Twisted Kings MC series. If you’ve read the previous installments, you’ll be familiar with Jesse King, also known as Legacy. I’m one reader who was excited to read Jesse’s happily ever after, especially once he crossed paths with his new nanny, Reagan. These two characters are complete opposites of one another, and if there is one thing I love about romance books, it is how two opposites fall hard for each other.
Reagan is sweet, innocent, and an avid reader of romance novels. On the other hand, Jesse is a grumpy biker whose life revolves entirely around the Twisted Kings and his adorable daughter, Bea. He has no time for Reagan, who has arrived to be the new nanny for his little girl. Jesse does everything he can to convince Reagan to leave, but she isn’t easily intimidated. After all, she’s there not only to care for Bea but also for her Great Aunt Margaret. Reagan is also trying to escape a troubling past, which will unfortunately resurface and create chaos for both her and Jesse. However, one thing Jesse and the Twisted Kings excel at is protecting those they care about. There is definitely going to be some danger and suspense in this book that will keep you on the edge of your seat; I know it did for me.
I loved both characters in this book, and they might be my favorites in the series, even though I’ve mentioned that I love the other couples, too. I just can’t decide. Jesse’s deep feelings for Reagan were captivating, especially since she knew how to handle him. Their chemistry became instantly apparent when they finally gave in to their feelings, and I was fully invested in their connection. My favorite moment, however, was when Jesse saw Reagan with his daughter and noticed how lovingly she cared for her as if she were her own. She even protected her in danger.
This series has quickly become an instant favorite, and I can’t wait to read more installments. Eva Simmons is an amazing author who can write everything, including sweet, dark, and suspenseful stories. Whatever she chooses to write, I will happily read and devour it.
Single/Dual POV: Dual POV.
Standalone or Part of Series: It’s an interconnected standalone in the Twisted Kings MC series.
