Chaos is the fifth book in Eva Simmons’s Twisted Kings MC series. This time, the story focuses on Dean ‘Chaos’ Graham, an ex-felon and notorious ladies’ man. I’ve been looking forward to learning more about the guy who always seems to take the fall for the Twisted Kings. I was curious to see which heroine would win Chaos over, and it turns out to be someone from his past, someone who picked his brother instead of him years ago. So, I knew this book was going to be good.
Dean never expected Willa to return and show up in the strip club that he helps manage for the Twisted Kings, but now that his brother Kaiden and his stepfather want to sell his grandfather’s land, Willa shows up with information that could help him. Dean isn’t sure if he can trust her, since she chose his brother before. But Willa is hiding the real reason she picked Kaiden over Dean, and it has everything to do with her own family and their land.
I love this MC world that Eva Simmons has created and all the MC members, including Chaos. He is the most protective of the group and won’t let anyone take the fall because they have family to think of, while he doesn’t. He lives on the edge, and he has every right to be bothered by Willa returning after she chose his brother. Once she’s in danger, though, he does what he does best and protects her, even though at first he tries to stay away because she’s a temptation. With Willa, I had a love/hate relationship at first for what she did to Chaos. She knew he cared for her, but she chose Kaiden, who ended up cheating on her. Once it was revealed why she chose Kaiden, I could understand. She didn’t really have a choice because someone made her. She also knew Dean didn’t want to stay in their small town and wanted to be free from the obligation of running his Grandfather’s ranch. I’m just glad she finds a family with not only Chaos, but with the Twisted Kings and their ladies, Tempe, Aimee, Luna, and Reagan. She needed a family that actually cared for her and didn’t have alternative motives, like her own family.
When it came to the spicy times, be prepared when you read this book because Chaos is a dirty talker and is all about degradation. Willa wasn’t prepared, and neither was I, but dang, when Chaos finally was with Willa, it was off the charts hot. There are even moments of public display, but Chaos won’t let anyone see too much.
When it came to the family drama in the story, Dean will have to face his stepfather and brother, and Willa will have to face her father and sister. It’s not going to be friendly for either of them, and I could understand why they didn’t want to stick around in the small town with everything that happened in the past and present day. Here’s what bothered me: the person behind the attack at the beginning of the book, who later hurt Willa while actually targeting someone else, ends up getting away scot-free. I don’t think that should have been the outcome, even if they were family. It just rubbed me the wrong way, especially when that person caused so much damage physically and emotionally.
Overall, I give this book four stars, and I’m so glad that Chaos finally got his HEA with the one girl he’s always cared for, and he now understands why Steel, Ghost, Legacy, and Havoc are happy now.
I love how Eva Simmons is setting up the spin-off of this series, which will be set in the small town mentioned in this book. I’m all for small-town romance and motorcycle clubs. I can’t wait to read the last book in this series because it’s finally Soul’s book, especially after the shocking ending of this one. I need his book like yesterday.

Standalone or Part of Series: It’s an interconnected standalone in the Twisted Kings MC series, but I highly recommend reading these books in order.
Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. If you enjoy alpha-hole motorcycle club heroes and love action-packed, steamy, drama-filled scenes, then the Twisted Kings MC should be added to your TBR.
