Jensen and Layla's story continues...
Their passion is undeniable, but their trust has been tested. Can he save her? And can she save his kind—the GTECHs?

He is Jensen Part Two picks up where Jensen and Layla’s story left off. If you haven’t read Part One yet, I suggest starting there to avoid spoilers. I’d also recommend checking out the He is Creed Trilogy so you don’t miss Creed’s story. (He plays a role in Jensen’s book.)

I appreciated that Lisa Renee Jones included a recap of Part One. It was helpful to get a refresher on Layla and Jensen’s story without rereading the first book, especially since it’s been a while since it came out.

I really enjoyed this part of Jensen and Layla’s story. There’s plenty of suspense, danger, and mystery. Trust issues come up, especially after what Layla went through in Part One. She even struggles to trust Jensen because he’s genetically advanced like the villains, but he’s actually the good guy.

Layla will see that he would never hurt her, especially in this book. He’s there to protect her, even from his own team, who are also good guys. Unlike Julian and his group, they don’t want to harm humans. I really respected Jensen in this book and how he handled things with Layla.

I love that this book is a Second Chance romance, and that Layla and Jensen are both trying to resist their feelings for different reasons. Layla struggles with trust, while Jensen is hesitant because he cares about her so much and thinks she might be his bonded.

This book gives you not only Layla and Jensen’s points of view, but also the villains’, so you get to see their perspective too. And they are definitely evil.

The story ends on a cliffhanger, and I hope we don’t have to wait long for the final book. I want to know if the bad guys will be defeated and if Layla and Jensen will end up together. I’m also curious about Layla’s powers, since she discovers she has some and it even surprises Jensen. There are lots of questions and not enough answers yet. Overall, it’s another suspenseful installment, and I give it four stars.

Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. If you are looking for a fast-paced Paranormal Romance full of suspense and danger, where the good guys are trying to prevent the bad guys from taking over the world, then check out this book/series from Lisa Renee Jones.
