The Psy-Changeling world has undergone a staggering transformation and now stands at a crossroads. The Trinity Accord promises a new era of cooperation between disparate races and groups. It is a beacon of hope held together by many hands: Old enemies. New allies. Wary loners.
But a century of distrust and suspicion can’t be so easily forgotten and threatens to shatter Trinity from within at any moment. As rival members vie for dominance, chaos and evil gather in the shadows and a kidnapped woman’s cry for help washes up in San Francisco, while the Consortium turns its murderous gaze toward a child who is the embodiment of change, of love, of piercing hope: A child who is both Psy…and changeling.
To find the lost, protect the vulnerable—and save Trinity—no one can stand alone. This is a time of loyalty across divisions, of bonds woven into the heart and the soul, of heroes known and unknown standing back to back and holding the line. But is an allegiance of honor even possible with traitors lurking in their midst?

I can’t believe I’ve finally finished the Psy-Changeling series, and it’s now going down as another favorite series from Nalini Singh. I wasn’t sure what to expect in Allegiance of Honor since everyone had their HEA, and silence had fallen. I knew a threat lingered still, which is mentioned in this book, as well as what the Psy and Changelings are working on when it comes to the Trinity accord.

This book stands out because it weaves together multiple character perspectives, allowing readers to revisit beloved characters and see the progression of their lives after their happy endings, while also dealing with some things after Silence, amongst other things. Mercy’s long-awaited family moment, which was definitely a shining moment that I’ve been waiting for in the series. It was also great to return to some of my favorite characters, like Sasha, Lucas, Hawke, Sienna, Kaleb, and Sahara, which makes Allegiance of Honor unique as both a continuation and celebration of the series’ core relationships.

Some of the characters in this book are in search of a Blacksea member who was kidnapped, and everyone is determined to find her, especially since Blacksea is one of their allies. The storyline that I was focused on in this book was how Sasha and Lucas’ daughter is in danger because she’s part Psy and Changeling, and it’s up to everyone to protect her. When they find out who is behind threatening her, let’s just say they will get what’s coming to them.

Overall, I rate this book 3.5 stars. This book definitely sets up what is to come in the spin-off series, and I’m excited to start the spin-off and see how it builds on the world Nalini Singh has created. Like with her Guild Hunter series, I know I’ll revisit the Psy-Changeling series often after I finish reading the spin-off. Her books are addicting and unforgettable.

POV: Third Person (Multi-POV)

Standalone or Part of Series: It’s the last book in the Psy-Changeling series and I highly recommend reading the books in order.

Would I recommend this book/series? Yes. I will always recommend Nalini’s books to Paranormal Romance fans. If you haven’t started this series or any of Nalini Singh’s books, you are truly missing out.

Audiobook Recommendation/Review: If you enjoy listening to your books, then check out the Psy-Changeling series on audio. The narrator, Angela Dawe, does an amazing job bringing the characters to life.

About Nalini Singh

I've been writing as long as I can remember and all of my stories always held a thread of romance (even when I was writing about a prince who could shoot lasers out of his eyes). I love creating unique characters, love giving them happy endings and I even love the voices in my head. There's no other job I would rather be doing. In September 2002, when I got the call that Silhouette Desire wanted to buy my first book, Desert Warrior, it was a dream come true. I hope to continue living the dream until I keel over of old age on my keyboard.

I was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. I also spent three years living and working in Japan, during which time I took the chance to travel around Asia. I’m back in New Zealand now, but I’m always plotting new trips. If you’d like to see some of my travel snapshots, have a look at the Travel Diary page (updated every month).

So far, I've worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher and not necessarily in that order. Some might call that inconsistency but I call it grist for the writer's mill.

I guess I should type a bio here. I'm FranJessca, or Fran for short. I'm the owner/reviewer behind A Book Lovin' Mama's Blog. I've been reading and reviewing books on my blog since leaving the Navy in 2011, and I will keep doing it as long as possible. My favorite genres will always be Romance & Fantasy, and I read every subgenre underneath those two genres. (Sorry, not a fan of nonfiction, so don't try to convince me to read it.)
My obsession with reading started over 30+ years ago when I went to my first Scholastic Book Fair and found R.L. Stine's Fear Street series. Later, I came across Anne Rice's novels at my public library when I was fourteen when my obsession with vampires started. I was the girl who preferred to be a vampire over a princess any day. My husband says I would leave him a heartbeat for a vampire that looked like Spike or Angel (from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) or Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. (It's true, though, and he's accepted it.)
